    • PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound, i.e. CF
      4 and C
      2 F
      6 , useful as a cryogenic refrigerant, electrical insulating gas, etc., safely, in high purity, yield and conversion, with simple process, by heating a mixed gas of C
      2 F
      4 and CO
      2 having a specific mixing ratio at high temperature.
      CONSTITUTION: Lower perfluoroalkane, i.e. CF
      4 (perfluoromethane), C
      2 F
      6 (perfluoroethane) or their mixture, can be prepared by heating a mixture of C
      2 F
      4 (tetrafluoroethylene) and CO
      2 at >900°C, pref. 950W1,500°C under positive or reduced pressure. The molar ratio of C
      2 F
      4 /CO
      2 is ≤4/1, pref. 3/1W1/10.
      EFFECT: Since CO
      2 acts as the diluent of C
      2 F
      4 , the explosion and carbonization can be prevented. There is no carbon deposition to the reaction tube, and little clogging of the reactor and lowering of the heat transfer coefficient. The troublesome operations such as cleaning of the reaction tubes are not necessary.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluororesin-containing laminate which has an excellent heat resistance, a low hygroscopicity and a high dielectricity inherent in a fluororesin, exhibits a high mechanical strength, a low linear expansion coefficient and a low shrinkage when used with a woven fabric or a nonwoven fabric, a heat-melting fluorine-containing resin laminate with an improved dimensional stability of the fluororesin and suitable for substrates for high frequency circuit boards and a copper-clad laminate of the fluorine-containing resin.
      SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing resin laminate is obtained by impregnating a woven fabric or a nonwoven fabric with the heat-melting fluorine-containing resin by thermocompression bonding. The copper-clad laminate of the fluorine-containing resin is obtained by cladding the fluorine-containing resin laminate with a copper foil. In a preferable embodiment, heat-melting fluorine-containing resin layers are formed on at least one side of woven fabrics or nonwoven fabrics, the fabrics are laminated by thermocompression bonding and the laminated fabrics are impregnated with a molten heat-melting fluorine-containing resin to obtain the fluorine-containing resin laminate.
